HorseDossier

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 19 August 2026

1. About HorseDossier

HorseDossier is a digital information-management and disclosure tool for horse sellers. It is designed to help sellers organise and present horse history, documents and seller-disclosed information to prospective buyers.

[TO COMPLETE: insert the legal name of the person or entity that supplies HorseDossier before first payment, and any required trading-name disclosure.]

These terms apply when you purchase, access or use HorseDossier. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

The Founding Release is a one-time A$79 purchase for one horse and 12 months of access. The service may include a professional horse profile, a chronological history or timeline, document uploads, a controlled buyer-share link, a Buyer Record Summary and ownership handover.

The Buyer Record Summary is only a clear summary of seller-disclosed information, supporting records, and identified gaps or questions. It is not a medical, safety or suitability assessment.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring information you provide is accurate, current and not misleading. You must have the authority to upload, use, disclose and share every document, image, record and other item you add to HorseDossier, including information about the horse, owners, riders, veterinarians and other people.

If account or access-management features are made available, you must keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you believe your access has been compromised.

4. Uploaded content and permissions

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You give HorseDossier permission to host, reproduce, format, store and display that content only as needed to operate, support and improve the service, and to make it available to people you choose to share it with.

You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, confidential without permission, defamatory, deceptive, malicious or harmful to the service or other people.

5. Buyer sharing and access

You control whether and with whom a buyer-share link is shared. Before sharing a link, check that the information is appropriate for the intended recipient. Anyone with access to a shared link may view the information made available through that link, and may retain notes or copies where permitted by law.

You are responsible for managing the audience and timing of any sharing. HorseDossier does not independently verify information made available through a buyer-share link.

6. Ownership handover

If an ownership handover feature is made available, you must only initiate a transfer where you have authority to do so. A handover is intended to preserve a horse's record, not to determine legal ownership, resolve a dispute or verify that a sale has occurred.

7. No veterinary advice, verification or guarantee

HorseDossier does not provide veterinary advice, veterinary assessment, diagnosis, medical-risk assessment, a guarantee of soundness, verification of a horse's health, history or suitability, or a replacement for a pre-purchase veterinary examination or other professional advice.

Buyers and sellers should obtain their own appropriate veterinary, legal, financial and other professional advice before making decisions about a horse.

8. Intellectual property

HorseDossier and its site content, design and service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. You may use the service for its intended purpose, but you must not copy, reverse engineer, resell, interfere with or use it in a way that is not permitted by these terms or applicable law.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate a breach of these terms, respond to a legal requirement or address misuse. We will try to give notice where practical. You may stop using the service at any time; see our Refund / Cancellation Policy for purchase and cancellation information.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, HorseDossier is not responsible for decisions made in reliance on seller-provided information, for the accuracy or completeness of uploaded content, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with its updated date. If a change materially affects current access, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to affected customers' attention where practical.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to team@horse-dossier.madethis.app.
